Here comes the veggie garden

Growing Something New at The Answer ๐ŸŒฑ

Last year, we widened the driveway and are now repurposing some of the wood into our new garden. We are especially excited about this season to plan and farm our a 70-foot by 7-foot garden built right in front of our solar panels.

Today is a big step forward โ€” the soil is finally being delivered. In true off-grid fashion, we traded our old solar panels to a local farm in exchange for the garden dirt; which feels like the perfect rural barter-system as we continue building connections in our new community. ๐Ÿ˜‚

This yearโ€™s garden will be filled with fresh vegetables, herbs, and pollinator-friendly plants โ€” tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, squash, peppers, and whatever else decides to thrive in the Madawaska Valley soil this summer.

Thereโ€™s something fitting about a garden growing beside the panels that power the property. Food, sunlight, and off-grid living all working together in one space. ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒฟ

The garden is still a work in progress, but it already feels like an important part of The Answer โ€” practical, peaceful, and a little wild.
