Questionable Gardening Decisions

It’s been a busy few weeks at The Off-Grid Answer.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been creating our new vegetable garden. After dreaming, planning, and collecting ideas, the garden is finally taking shape. The 70 x 8 ft long garden is in. We have been hauling soil, approximately 8 million shovels full, to fill the garden with healthy new soil.
The garden sits in front of our solar panels, making for a pretty unique view. It’s a perfect reminder of what off-grid living is all about: working with the land to create both food and energy while becoming a little more self-sufficient each year.
There’s plenty of work ahead. Every day involves a shovel, a wheelbarrow, or a project we thought would take an hour and somehow took the entire afternoon. But that’s part of the adventure. Each season teaches us something new, and every project helps us create the off-grid oasis we’re working toward.
We’ll continue sharing updates as the gardens grow. For now, we’re enjoying dirty hands, sore muscles, and the excitement that comes with watching a new season begin.
Stay tuned—there’s a lot more growing, building, and probably a little bit of improvising ahead.
